Bathing in Filth

I lie here, soaking in decadence
Breathing in mold spores, becoming sick
The absence of the clean, by my own negligence
Tasting the grime and dirt, that I lick

Bathing in the putrid of life’s brutality
Relaxing in vivid discomposure
Laying my head back on a pillow of immorality
Submission to putrefaction’s allure

Lying back, drowning out all I’m hearing
Cursing the noise, as I acknowledge I am helpless
The constant interruptions of endless screaming
Naked in this untamed rot, lying so defenseless

Wishing the impurities and imperfections away
Lost and overwhelmed with so much unknown
So many directions to go, so many paths of decay
Sketching my memories on unread tomes

This is the place though, I wish to remain
In this filth, comforted by the stench of immorality
It is in this putrid water, I feel most sane
It’s the most relaxing way to summon pure sentimentality
