My sweet little baby, so sweet to me
Such a sweet little baby, and will always be

You've been such a great adventuring companion
Nothing, no one, can replace you—or stand in

So many adventures we sought, sweet little one
So many battles we fought, and so many we won

You went with me through, catacombs and canyons
You stayed by my side, as we climbed epic mountains and explored haunted mansions

You helped me to create, when I wrote my poems and made my sites
You laid next to me, on the desk, through all of it, all night

You calmed me during my physical tests
You meowed and let me know, I should rest

Constantly greeting me as I enter the room
Your joyous smile and happy meow, soothed all gloom

You are so loyal and never asked for anything—even when sore
My only regret is, that I wish we had a longer time together—I wish I could give more

You've been my furry little familiar, always by my side—your Achilles’ heel, the weather
I hope you recover, and I hope you heal, I hope you know you're so loved, and you get better

I write this, while you sit on your towel in the kitchen, at rest
I read it to you this hour—your smiling eyes worth it—had to get it off my chest
