To Kiss or Not to Kiss

Sweet dream
Of you sweet girl, looking so serene

I see your face and I reach to touch,
Both of us locking eyes, slowly blush

My hands on your sides, pulling you further in
To feel so strongly, surely a sin

Through these words, I convey how I feel
To wrap you in a loving embrace would be so surreal

Rubbing my finger down your face, caressing with such care
Hearts beating faster, still gazing upon one another in a deep stare

As your body warms against mine
Knowing we must leave soon, both cursing the time

Your head pressing against my chest
My hands rubbing up your side and back in a sweet caress

Reluctantly pulling away, looking into the other's soul
Knowing full well, neither wants to go—touching to console

Hesitantly press my lips slowly towards yours, feeling your breath
Both excited as our hearts pound joyously, to see what comes of this depth

Offering you a side others are not allowed to see
Grateful to you for fully accepting me

Your concerns and fears, long forgotten as the moment grows
Freedoms embraced and weights lifted as the night goes

No plans of action, not a single devious thought
Just two people who met, appreciating what gift life brought

If tears form, let them flow
So much care for you, while you hang on, I won’t let go

Feelings emerging, long thought dead
Longing to be brought back to life, from beautiful words both have said

I’ll write you poems dear one, a new game we can play
Such an honor it is to walk beside you, where I wished you'd stay

How precious this friendship has become
Wild thoughts of passion, of bond, of being one

Not a word has been said, not a single sound
As if in sacred moments, while the heavens surround

Do the angels sing? Do blessings they bestow?
All these emotions continually grow

Is the friendship everlasting?
Or just a moment to enjoy as life keeps passing

Seeing you, makes me feel so alive
Thanking God for saving me so long ago when I could have died

Still feeling hearts pounding, the blood rushing through
Both bodies excited, wondering what the other will do

Not flowers, nor pretty words can express the way I feel
The feelings are authentic though and so real

It’s more than happiness, it’s total bliss
In this poem, you decide, if we actually kiss

… To be continued
