I lie in a field colored by vast tulips and daisies
Breathing in the scent so fresh and serene
Lying here as the sunshine massages me—so lazy
Taking in the beauty of this painting--picture perfect scene

Angelic forms display themselves in the clouds above
Hypnotized by the sound of birds delightfully chirping songs so sweetly exchanged
The soft breeze blowing by feels like nature's tender love
Bunnies frolic and hop to where the baby rabbits are gently arranged

Manic squirrels searching for precious treasures they lost
A bumblebee buzzes by to ensure I'm safe before sweet nectar he feeds
The sounds of rustling sweet strands of wheat, and lavish hues cross
All of this, my domain as time seems to cease and I can just be...

Visions of beauties dancing in flowing summer dress
Their hair flowing as movement pushes it to sway
The vibrance of life emits from their breast
Hand in hand the forming of a circle, to continue dancing away

All the memories of my once happy youth, now intertwine
Fears and worries cast aside to fade away by this beautiful summer day
Feeling overwhelmed with joy now as I finally relax with time
I can't even remember heartache or why I was so worried anyway

Opening my eyes, in a bathroom of filth and mold
Unable to stand, so dizzy, so profound—the result all this caused
Sitting in soiled pants and bloodied needles I stole
All my fictional friends if they could see me would be so appalled

Feeling the urge of the spirit to finally cast itself free
I miss those chirping birds, and the song they sung
This tarnished vessel of mine, slowly ceasing to be
Waiting now on cold tiles, until this horrid dream is finally done
